Overview – Built for Industrial Automation Excellence

Industrial communication is the backbone of modern factories, process plants, and smart infrastructure. RAPIDSEA Industrial Protocol Stacks are designed to meet the stringent demands of industrial environments; deterministic communication, interoperability, long lifecycle support, and compliance with global standards.

Developed from scratch by embedded communication experts, RAPIDSEA stacks strictly follow protocol specifications and are validated using certified test tools. Once integrated, they are ready for certification and have been successfully deployed in products interoperating with leading industrial vendors such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Honeywell, Modicon, Delta, and Keyence.

These stacks help manufacturers shorten time-to-market, reduce development risk, and deliver robust industrial products that seamlessly integrate into existing automation ecosystems.

Industrial Protocol Stack Offerings

Embien offers a comprehensive set of Fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet protocol stacks under the RAPIDSEA product umbrella. Each stack is engineered for performance, portability, and ease of integration.

Included Protocol Stacks:

  • Modbus (Master & Slave)
  • Ethernet/IP
  • DeviceNet
  • PROFINET
  • PROFIBUS

All stacks are available as portable, MISRA C–compliant implementations with configurable features to suit diverse industrial use cases.

Supported Industrial Protocol Stacks

RAPIDSEA offers best-in-class implementations of essential industrial protocols.

Modbus Stack (Master & Slave)

The RAPIDSEA Modbus stack supports RTU, ASCII, and TCP variants over RS232/RS485/Ethernet. Compliant with V1.1 spec, it includes all standard function codes (01h–10h, 2Eh) and extensible APIs for custom extensions. With <2KB ROM and ~60 bytes RAM, it's ideal for low-resource MCUs. Thread-safe, royalty-free, and configurable via Flint for register mapping. Used in PLCs, sensors, and gateways.
